Never conceding to what culture projects on them, Brooks and his boyfriend Blake strive to stand out among the rest and do so in a fashionable way. Called to city for his passion of cooking, Brooks has been working as a chef in San Fran for the past 4 years. Brooks and Blake met at the San Fran Pride Parade in 2015 have been together ever since. Millennials at heart, both Brooks and Blake are experiencers and, therefore, self-expressive, sociable, and spontaneous (Berman, 2017). They strive to pour into the youth LGBT community of San Fran. Their volunteer work is what brought them to our door where they are free to express themselves through their own style of pushing societal norms.
